Demand: what buyers are sourcing
As of 6 July 2026, 77% of RFQs created on RFQsNow are for medium project scopes, between AED 500K and AED 5M in project value. The remainder sit below AED 500K. No RFQ to date has fallen in the above-AED 5M tier, which matches how large packages get split: buyers break major projects into system-level packages before going to market.
By scope, audio visual and lighting are the most requested categories, followed by CCTV, energy management, and public address systems. Urban construction is the dominant project sector among posted RFQs.
Supply: the supplier network
| Capability | Share of suppliers |
|---|---|
| Audio Visual (AV) | 63% |
| Building Management (BMS) | 38% |
| Extra Low Voltage (ELV) | 33% |
| CCTV & Security | 29% |
| Lighting Control | 29% |
| Structured Cabling | 25% |
| Access Control | 25% |
| Home Automation | 25% |
The supplier network is currently 100% UAE-based, which reflects where GCC AV and ELV trade concentrates: distribution and integration talent clusters in Dubai and Abu Dhabi even when projects sit elsewhere in the region. Supplier onboarding includes a verification process before bidding.
Bidding behaviour
The average lead time quoted in supplier bids submitted on the platform is 21 days. That is a useful planning number for buyers working back from delivery dates: add the supplier response window and evaluation time on top, as covered in the UAE RFQ process guide.
Suppliers spend credits to unlock full RFQ details before bidding, and half of all paid unlocks to date have converted into a submitted bid. Because suppliers only see RFQs matched to their category and geography, the buyers on the other side are dealing with bidders who paid for the specific opportunity rather than mass-blasting quotes.
Methodology and citation
Figures are aggregated from the RFQsNow production database (RFQs, bids, supplier profiles, and unlock records) and from confirmed contract documentation. Individual buyers, suppliers, and RFQs are never identified; sourcing confidentiality is a platform principle. Percentages are rounded to the nearest whole number.
